Joseph (Joe) John Mancuso, 91

Joseph (Joe) John Mancuso of Cos Cob died peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and family on Sept 22, 2019 after a long illness with diabetes and complications from COPD.

Born in the Chickahominy section of Greenwich on July 26, 1928, he was the son of Rocco Mancuso and Anna Teresa DeBlasio Mancuso.

Joe graduated Greenwich High School on June 17, 1947. He was a dedicated Town of Greenwich employee for 38 years as Head Custodian of Central and Eastern Junior High Schools, followed by building maintenance managerial positions at the old Town Hall and Greenwich Annex buildings, new Town Hall and Greenwich High School. Joe had a high work ethic and his family was always his number one priority. He was very proud of his Italian heritage and instilled the values of fostering strong family ties, helping others in need and carrying forth traditional Italian customs. He was known for his abundant garden, homemade wine and love of the holidays.

Joe is survived by his dedicated wife of 67 years, Grace Oliveri Mancuso, and his five children, Rocco (JoAnn), Anna Teresa (Edgar), Joseph II, Michael (Denise) and Dominick, and dedicated “Other Son” Ron Ross, as well as his grandchildren Joe, Elizabeth, Gina, Steven, Joseph III, Michael and Matthew.

Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Mary and John Mandras, brother and sister-in-law Dominick and Josephine Mancuso, brothers-in-law and sisters-in law Anthony and Grace Oliveri, Rocco and Rosina Oliveri, and Diego Oliveri.

The family would like to thank Drs. Francis Walsh and Dr. Marcus Mayus for their assistance, excellent attention and care, caregivers Marrian Johnson and Winny Wells for their compassion, dedication and loving touch and the Danielcare, Greenwich Home Care and Constellation home care organizations.

Viewing will be held Sept 25, 12:00 to 2:00pm and 5:00 to 8:00pm at Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Road #3, Greenwich.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Sept 26 at 11:00am, at St Roch’s Catholic Church, 10 St Roch Ave. Donations can be made in Joe’s memory to St Roch’s Church or the American Diabetes Association.


Anne Mahar Hussey, 92

Anne Mahar HusseyAnne Mahar Hussey died peacefully on September 25th with family at her side. She was born in NYC, grew up in White Plains, NY and was the wife of Alexander B. Hussey, who died in 2003.

Anne and Al Hussey were owners of the Roger Sherman Inn of New Canaan for twenty three years. Al was president of Norwalk’s Board of Realtors and a Captain in World War II, fighting five battles from Normandy to the Battle of the Bulge. Anne’s grandfather, Michael Meagher M.P., served twelve years, representing North Kilkenny, Ireland in the British House of Commons.

Anne worked for the New York Times, RCA and directly for Alfred A. Knopf. She attended Fordham University and the Columbia School of General Studies. She was one of the original founders of FISH in Norwalk, was on the Board of the Norwalk Symphony, a volunteer for Mid-Fairfield Hospice for 16 years, and a volunteer at the women’s prison in Danbury, CT.

She leaves three children, Alexander Hussey (Danbury, CT), David Hussey (San Jose, Costa Rica), Patricia Hussey (Old Greenwich, CT) and one grandson, Sean Hussey (Norwalk, CT), along with many beloved and dear friends.

A small private service will be held in Anne’s honor. Donations can be made to any organization that brings beauty into the world. Sitting in her bay window watching the Silvermine River, Anne would have enjoyed this beautiful Fall day. Let’s do it for her.

Martha Hegeman

MarthaMartha Mary Fleming Hegeman passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Sept. 13, 2019 in Greenwich, CT where she resided for the past 27 years.

Martha was born and grew up in Grosse Pointe, Mich. The daughter of the late Robert and Mary Powell Fleming.

Martha is survived by her loving husband Frank, her children Paul and Thomas, her sister Francis and brother-in-law Bud Prieur and her beloved nephews Mike and Scott and their families.

In addition to the joys of parenthood, Martha enjoyed a successful career in retail and most recently, as a fashion designer in bridal wear. All those who knew Martha are blessed with memories of her that will be cherished forever. She will be missed dearly by all.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Sept 28 at 12:30pm at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 469 North Street in Greenwich.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Martha’s name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Ave., New York, NY, 10065.

Deborah A. DeMartino Ryan, 56

Deborah A. DeMartino Ryan, 56, beloved wife of Michael Ryan passed away peacefully with family at her side on September 26, 2019.

Debbie was born on September 3, 1963 and raised in Greenwich, CT. She graduated from Greenwich High School, class of 1981, and attended Post College. In her younger years, Debbie enjoyed playing softball, bowling, volleyball, and cards. She was an avid cook and baker, a talent she had developed through years in the kitchen with her grandmother.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents, Rich and Sandy DeMartino of Greenwich, CT; Cindy Lyall of Greenwich, CT, Billy DeMartino (Yan) of Stamford, CT, Beth Acerbo (Michael) of Greenwich, CT. She was a cherished Aunt to Alexander Lyall and Michael Acerbo, whom she adored.

Pasquale “Pat” Spezzano

Pasquale “Pat” Spezzano, of Greenwich, sadly passed away on October 12, 2019. He was 55.

Pasquale was born April 24, 1964, to Michael Jr and Loretta (Testa) Spezzano. He enjoyed an illustrious career in the fashion world. He was a stylist in the industry and a designer of both apparel and textile.

Pasquale was educated at the finest institutions including, Tobe Coburn School for Fashion Careers and The Fashion Institute of Technology.

Pasquale began his career as a designer for the Andre Oliver Menswear Collection. He was a designer of other menswear, sportswear and private label brands before becoming design director for the Ron Chereskin Studio.

Pasquale’s other professional accolades included; head designer for the Kenneth Cole Collection, Flight 001 in NYC, and the MJC Corp in San Francisco. He worked as a freelance stylist as well for Pottery Barn, Walden Owen Publishing, Iiridio/RR Donnelly and he contributed his talents for the cover story featuring Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf for Outside’s “GO” Magazine. Through out the years his work was featured in leading fashion magazines, catalogs and books. He also won accolades as the Winner for Best Costume/Equity for his costume designs for Michael Jackson Production “Sisterella” the Musical.

He served as Wardrobe Designer for MGM Industries starring Debbie Reynolds and Wardrobe Assistant for Mitzi Gaynor’s road tour. In addition, he was the Wardrobe Supervisor for the MGM movie, “That’s Entertainment 3”.

Pasquale shared his knowledge in an academic capacity, having been a Professor of Textiles at the University of San Francisco. Pasquale was an Elite Associate Member and Costume Designer of the Bohemian Club in San Francisco. Aside from his professional interests, Pasquale had many other loves. He enjoyed swimming, kayaking, sewing, reading, dancing, spending time at the beach along with playing board games and cards. He had a deep love of animals and is fondly remembered as a history buff.

Above all, he enjoyed time with his family. Pasquale leaves behind his cherished parents, Michael & Loretta, his loving siblings, Shayne Muller (Ken), Michael Spezzano III (Liz), and Bettina Grabowski (Mark). He is also survived by loving nephews Michael (Jackie) and Scott (Monica) Spezzano, and Jason Grabowski (Christina) and nieces Erica Sabatino (Jonathan), Jessica Grabowski (Adam), Shelby (Ben) Greger and great nieces Nola and Mia Delcourt, Lily and Becca Spezzano, Hadley and Remy Greger and great nephew Owen Spezzano, all whom adored him. Family and friends will gather in Pasquale’s memory on Friday 5:00-9:00pm at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home 134 Hamilton Ave Greenwich, 203-869-5968.

Florence R. DeCaro, 87

Florence R. DeCaro

Florence R. DeCaro, a lifelong resident of Greenwich, passed away Sunday October 20.

Born to James and Lorenza DeCaro on May 23, 1932, Florence graduated Greenwich High School in 1950 and went on to spend her career working for the New York Telephone Company. She retired in 1985 in Computer Support, being one of the first people to work in that Department. She then volunteered at St.
Catherine’s rectory and the Red Cross.

She loved to read and spent many days in the Old Greenwich Library reading room. Florence also played in a woman’s golf league. She was also a diehard Met’s fan, though her favorite team was the Yukon Woman’s Huskies.

Florence was a breast cancer survivor and spent time at the Greenwich WYMCA swimming with her Encore group. She made friends everywhere she went.

Florence loved her family and was especially close to her nieces and nephew, Barbara Cerulli, Joseph DeCaro, and Mary Sliwinski who affectionately referred to her as ‘Great-Aunt Flo’ and she always treated them as if they were her own children.

Later in life Florence became a devoted caregiver to her parents and her brother James. She is survived by her loving sister Nicolletta Craig of Florida. She is predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Ralph, James; and sisters Marie DeCaro Burriesci; and nephew Charles Burriesci.

To honor her life, a gathering will be held 10:00am Friday at St. Catherine of Siena Chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the chapel at 11:ooam. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s
Cemetery.

Emma J. Gilbert, 88

Emma J. Gilbert, a lifelong resident of Greenwich died October 24, 2019 at the age of 88.

Emma was born in Greenwich to Michael and Concetta (Finiello) DiSapio. She was a homemaker who also had an accomplished career in marketing for major publishing houses including Random House.

Beloved wife of the late John P. (d. 1988) Gilbert, devoted mother of Dean (wife Pamela) and cherished Grandmother of Casey, Jesse, Tyler and Leah.  She is predeceased by her siblings, Joseph DiSapio, Mary Braccio and Irene Bilotti.

Emma is also survived by her brother in law, Leo Bilotti and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

A mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, 10:00am at St. Roch’s R.C. Church followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Cameron Randall FennellCameron Randall Fennell left this life peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. He was twenty four years old. He is survived by his loving parents, Lorraine and Frank, and by his sister Kristen, as well as Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Cameron was born in Cambodia in 1995 and completed our family in 1998. He graduated from Greenwich High School in 2013 where he had excelled on the Cardinals baseball team. Cameron worked in New York City as a plumber’s apprentice and was also working toward his degree. He was passionate about baseball, music, his pets, and his family and friends.

His family asks that anyone who knew and loved Cameron join us for a Celebration of Life service on Sunday November 3rd, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Greenwich Boat and Yacht Club. 9 Grass Island Road, Greenwich, CT 06830

Rosemarie Feldmeth

Rosemarie Feldmeth, of Riverside, passed away October 27, 2019, at age 78.

She was born July 5, 1941, in the Bronx, to Antonio and Lena Valente. Rosemarie is fondly remembered for her love of family. Time spent with her daughter, granddaughters, siblings and nieces and nephews meant the world to her.

She was passionate about music, with genres varying from oldies and Elvis to country. Rosemarie loved trips to Mohegan Sun, jumbles and crossword puzzles, the History Chanel, and many other investigative shows. S

he is the beloved wife of the late Walter Feldmeth, the cherished mother of Renee Allegrini and devoted grandmother of Juliana Porcelli & Jenna Allegrini.

Rosemarie is the loving sister of Virginia Corvino and the late Antonio Valente and Dolores Villanueva. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave Wednesday, Oct 30, from 9:00-10:30am where a service will commence at 10:30.

Chester “Chet” F. Forman Sr., 90

Chester F. Forman Sr., of Greenwich, passed away October 25, 2019,
at Greenwich Hospital. He was 90. He was born in Port Chester,
October 20, 1929 to Andrew and Cecelia Forman.

Chet, as he was known, was raised in Port Chester and graduated from Port Chester High School in 1949, where he was a star catcher for the baseball team and also, a quarterback on the football team.

In 1966, he and his beloved wife, Sallyann, relocated to Greenwich.

The couple was married at Our Lady of Mercy in Port Chester on November 27, 1954. They were looking forward to their 65th anniversary next month. Chet was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean Conflict. He went on to work in the printing industry. He semi-retired and went on to work for the Town of Greenwich TAG as a driver and as a ranger for the Griff Golf Course.

He was also a member of the Griff Men’s Golf Club, as well as the Knights of Columbus.

Chet was dearly loved by his family and friends. They will all miss his singing of “San Francisco”.

Those at Greenwich Woods who knew him as “Chester from Port Chester”, will miss him as well. In addition to his wife, Chet is the beloved father of Chester Forman Jr (wife Beverly) and the late Michael Forman. He is the devoted grandfather of Christopher (Sara) of Fairfield, Stephen (Candace) of Stamford and Matthew of Portland,
Oregon, and great grandfather of Carter, Charlotte, Hope and Cash.

Chet is the dear brother of, Cecilia Forman Tortora and her husband, Michael as well as the late, John Forman, Josephine Forman and Mary Forman Jarombek.

Family and friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am Wednesday at St. Paul’s RC Church in Greenwich followed by interment at Putnam Cemetery.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, Nov 18 at 10:00am at Saint Mary’s Church, 178 Greenwich Avenue.

Matthew C. Gesell  of Greenwich was born on June 17, 2001 and passed away on November 10, 2019, according to Leo P Gallagher & Son Funeral Home.

Matthew was a graduate of the Greenwich High School Class of 2019.

At GHS he was a member of the Outreach Club and helped organize Stress Success and Teen Setbacks events, including one withMTV’s Giovanni Rivera as featured speaker.

In an interview, Matthew spoke about the stress of being a student at Greenwich High School including lack of sleep and academic pressure.

He also participated in the school’s textile fundraiser through Fairco Greentree Recycling that raised money to combat the opioid epidemic.

Matthew was a member of the Tufts University class of 2023.

On Monday the Office of the President at Tufts, Anthony P. Monaco, shared a letter, saying in part, “Originally from Greenwich, Matt joined the Tufts community this fall with aspirations of working in medicine. His instructor and advisor, Matthew Harrington, has shared that Matt was a person with wide interests and intellectual curiosity, especially about science and math. Matt’s friends also remember him as funny, creative, and kind. He will be remembered on our campus for his artistic skills, as well as his intellectual energy and great care for others.”

Classmates and Friends of Matthew C. Gesell Memorial Gathering to be Held at Arch Street Teen Center

Members of the Greenwich High School class of 2019 are organizing a memorial service to honor their fellow classmate Matthew C. Gesell who died on November 10.

The service will be at Arch Street Teen Center on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. The teen center is located at 100 Arch Street in Greenwich.

The time and date have been confirmed with Kyle Silver, executive director of the Teen Center as well as the Gesell Family.

Many of Matthew Gesell’s friends are at colleges across the US and most likely can not travel back for the formal services this upcoming weekend. (Services Planned for Matt Gesell, 18).

The event at the Teen Center was planned so that his friends could gather as they arrive home for their Thanksgiving break.

Mathilde Wadelton Connal

Mathilde Wadelton Connal, age 92, died peacefully on November 10, 2019, at her home in Hilton Head, SC.

Born in Bronxville, NY. “Til” was married for 45 years to Allan B. Connal “Scotty”, the love of her life, who affectionately referred to her as “the iron fist in the velvet glove”.

Til was the heart of her Edgewater Drive neighborhood in Old Greenwich, opening her home to neighbors and friends for holiday gatherings, storm watch parties, and viewing the Binney Park fireworks at her annual July 4th celebration.

Her husband Scotty, son Bruce, and her siblings Neda, Jack, Bob, Charlie, Henry and Pat predecease her.

She is survived by her children Christine Connal (Candy LeGay), Susan Connal, Catherine Chalverus (Peter), Diane Koeppel (Gerard), Linda Connal (Peter Duncan), Allan Connal (Judy), and Scott Connal (Roger Blanco); daughter-in-law Karen Connal and grandchildren Katelind, Alan, Harrison, and Lily Root; Tyler, Carly, and Trevor Connal; Jackson, Harry, and Katherine Koeppel; John Allan Duncan; Caroline, Alexander, Christopher, Luke and Madeleine Connal. Til loved and was loved by many and will be missed by all.

A celebration of her life will be held on 11.16.19 (also her birthday) in Hilton Head.

Noell Virginia Sheehan GioffreNoell Virginia Sheehan Gioffre passed away peacefully with her husband at her side on November 13, 2019 at her home in Greenwich.

She was born on December 22, 1939 in Port Chester, New York to the late Lillian Martin Sheehan and Francis Sheehan. Noell was the younger sister of Lawrence Sheehan.

She graduated from Port Chester High School in 1956 and went on to study at nursing school.

Noell defined selfless love to everyone she met. She had a unique ability to bring joy to all she encountered. Noell’s greatest joy in life was her family.

Noell was the cherished wife of her beloved husband of 58 years, Anthony B. Gioffre Jr. She is survived also by her four children, Anthony F. Gioffre (Angie), Wayne Gioffre (Lisa), Ken Gioffre (Monet), and Gina Gioffre Laufenberg (Neil).

“Nana” was a devoted grandmother to Kyle, Gage, Paul, Henry, Emma, Anthony, Ryan, and Joseph. Her family will always treasure a lifetime of her love, spirit, and laughter – including summers in Avalon, Easter egg hunts, exceedingly generous cooking at all hours, spontaneous singing of so many songs, her uncanny winning hands of poker.

The family is grateful for the support, care, and compassion of the doctors – especially Dr. Dickerman Hollister – care providers, and loving friends who shared in Noell’s exemplary life.

To honor her life, family and friends will gather to pay their respects 2:00pm – 6:00pm Sunday, November 17 at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Avenue, Greenwich, Connecticut.

A mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Greenwich at 10:00am Monday November 18.

Rose Pugliese, of Greenwich, passed away Monday November 18th. She was 94. Rose was born December 8, 1924, in New London, to Gerrard and Mary Grippo.

Rose worked for many years at Putnam Trust, before opening the Pemberwick X-Change, with her beloved husband, the late Louis Pugliese.

She is survived by her loving children, Ernest and Steven (Halina); cherished grandchildren Gregory, Michael, Lisa Migliardi, Danielle Murphy, Stephanie O’Donnell; and great-grandchildren Amelia, Jack, James, Mason, Shane, Morgan, and Flynn.

Rose is also predeceased by her dear son Michael.

To honor her life a graveside service will be held 1:00pm Thursday November 21 at St. Mary’s Cemetery at 399 North Street Greenwich.

Alice Teresa (Dunn) Petrow, 97, of Astoria, died on November 14, 2019.

Alice was born on October 24, 1922 in Woodside, New York. She was the daughter of Michael Dunn and Alice (O’Brien).

Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Stanley Edward Petrow, Sr. and devoted mother of Jean DiVincenzo and her husband Frank of Greenwich, CT, Deborah Petrow of Astoria, NY, Stanley Petrow, Jr. and his wife Olga of Fairfield, CT the late Kenneth Petrow and his wife Angela of Granby, CT, Edward Petrow and his wife Joanne of Monroe Township, NJ.

Cherished Grandmother to Adam, Peter, Elise, Erica, Suzanne, Emily, Elizabeth, Jacqueline, Jonathan, Gregory & Eric. Alice is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be held from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm on Sunday, November 17, at Joseph Farenga & Sons Funeral Home, Astoria, NY.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, November 18 at 9:30 am at Most Precious Blood Church, Astoria, NY. Interment will be at Calverton National Cemetery.

Dietrich Alexander Van Alst Jander, 45

Dietrich Alexander Van Alst Jander, longtime resident of Greenwich, CT., passed away on November 21, 2019. He was 45 years old.

Born in Garden City, Long Island, NY. Dietrich was the son of Deborah (Van Alst) and Klaus H. Jander. He attended Brunswick School pre-k – 10th grade and graduated Greenwich High School in 1992.

After receiving his B.S. Degree from Vanderbilt University, he completed a Master’s in Industrial Business Management in Koblenz, Germany. During that time, he was also working at Schuetz Werke GmbH & Co KGaA as a Logistics Manager, and was later transferred by Schuetz back to the US. Since 2013 worked as a Strategic Service Strategy Manager at Henkel-North America. Dietrich enjoyed multiple and varied interests, especially BMW’s, new and vintage, astronomy, oceanography, gardening, and cooking, which included the obligatory viewing of “Produce Pete” on Channel 4 on early Saturday morning.

Dietrich was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and Toast Masters International. Fluent in English and German, Dietrich also studied many years of Latin, Spanish, French and Russian. Aside from his deep love for his family, fiancé Elfride, and friends, he enjoyed skiing, scuba diving, Formula 1, travel, politics, mechanical tinkering, and supporting friends and family; A True Renaissance Man!

Dietrich is survived by his parents Klaus and Deborah Jander, and fiancé Elfride Jakaj, Aunts Dawn Mary Sclafani, Joyce Eikenberry and numerous cousins in both Germany and America.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 29th from 6:00-8:00pm at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 30th at 10:00am at Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Avenue, Greenwich.

Steven Wayne Kovach, 57Steven Wayne Kovach, 57, of Greenwich, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 1, 2019. He was the youngest born to the late Evelyn (McGinty) and John Kovach on August 9, 1962 in Port Chester, NY. He graduated from J.M. Wright Technical High School in Stamford and was a second generation plumber.

He was a 30 year member of Local 777 as a Plumber Pipefitter for various companies in the Greenwich area and later traveled to Maryland, upstate New York and throughout CT for numerous union jobs. He was certified in many areas of his field and was exceptional at his work. Steve had a great sense of humor, was generous to those he cared for and was greatly loved by his family, friends and neighbors.

Steven loved to travel, enjoyed the outdoors and being on or near the water. He enjoyed fishing and was a car enthusiast, taking pride in all his vehicles; maintaining, repairing, fixing, tinkering on or washing them.

Steve’s greatest love was his son, Robert, whom he is survived by. He is also survived by his siblings, John, Linda and Richard, three nieces, a nephew, and a great niece and a great nephew, all whom he adored and loved spending time with. He was predeceased by his brother David in 2015. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Calling hours will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Road #3, Greenwich. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Kevin McCabe, 69

Kevin McCabe of Greenwich passed away on December 2, 2019.

He was the youngest of four born to Albert and Margaret McCabe in Brooklyn, New York on July 11, 1950. He graduated from St. Mary elementary school in Greenwich and from Christ the King Prep in Southport, Connecticut.

He held a degree from Boston College where he excelled with the renowned Fulton Debating Society. Before graduating, he joined VISTA soon after graduation was sent to Chicago to work with Legal Aid providing legal aid services to underprivileged clients. While with VISTA, he developed an interest in law and subsequently attended John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

During his time in Chicago, he became a professional musician, singing and playing guitar with the Bittercreek Newgrass Band.

While living in Boulder Colorado he decided to try a career in television. Family lore has it that he may have been inspired by his mother telling him that with his deep, mellifluous voice, he should become an announcer. So began a thirty-plus years successful career in TV broadcasting that included the Satellite News Channel in Stamford, the first 24-hour news channel. He then worked for TCI Cable in Westchester which later became Cablevision, with whom he remained for 30 years as a reporter and evening news anchorman on New Channel 12 the Bronx, where he also became News Director.

In retirement Kevin collected various musical instruments and loved nothing better than to gather with family and friends for a night of guitars playing, singing, and laughter.

Kevin was smart, witty, and fun to be around. He took great joy in watching his granddaughter Tara grow into an accomplished, adventurous young woman.

He is survived by daughter Christine O’Dea, granddaughter Tara Bartlik, sister Susan McCabe and brothers Stephen and Brian, all of Greenwich, ex-wife and friend Barbara McCabe of Norwalk, CT, and numerous nephews and nieces.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ryan Dadasovich and the staff of Greenwich Woods for their compassionate care.

Regina Plunkett Dowling, 62

Services have been scheduled for Regina Plunkett Dowling, 62, who on Dec 5 succumbed to her injuries resulting from a collision a week earlier in Old Greenwich.

Dowling held a master’s degree from the Yale Divinity School and a doctorate from Yale in Bible Studies.

A post on the Leo P Gallagher & Son website said Dowling was a well-loved member of the St Catherine of Siena morning Bible Studies for many years.

“We all enjoyed her intellect, her unique ability to share her faith, her insights into Scripture, and her wonderful sense of humor. That knowing smile with the twinkle in her bright eyes! She was a highlight of our studies. And we eagerly anticipated her wisdom in cracking open the Word,” Pam Sloane said in her comment.

On Nov 29, Dowling was walking to the Old Greenwich train station when she was hit by a car along Sound Beach Avenue. Greenwich Police continue to investigate the collision.
